Beaches

The island of Menorca has an extension of approximately 50 km from east to west, very subject to winds especially the mistral, this implies always checking the wind conditions when choosing which beaches to visit. The north coast is characterized by lunar scenery, beaches with red sand and very interesting coastlines geologically speaking. Capo Cavalleria, Capo Favaritx, Cala Pregonda are just some examples of the most spectacular beaches to discover.

The south coast, however, is characterized by white beaches and turquoise sea, Cala Torqueta, Macarella and Macarelleta, Son Saura and son Bou, are beaches not to be missed. During your stay on the island we will advise you if you want the best itineraries to follow also through the Cami de cavalles, the famous circumnavigation that runs along the entire coast of the island of Menorca and always with a careful eye on the wind conditions.

Natural beauty

Menorca is home to a wide range of plant and animal species. The island is home to two nature reserves: the S'Albufera des Grau Natural Park and the S'Albufera des Bocaires Natural Park. Biosphere Reserve since 1993, it has been named a UNESCO heritage site for archaeology. Talaiotica is an extremely protected territory inspired by responsible and sustainable tourism.

It will also be pleasant to suggest all the alternative activities to the sea that the island offers such as the cultural and naturalistic offer, rich natural beauty, history and curiosities that have been handed down from the various Arab, Phoenician and Roman occupations up to the most recent of the last few centuries.

Travel tips

The island can be explored entirely along all its coasts, crossing over eighty beaches via the Camino de los Caballos, a naturalistic itinerary that can be explored on foot, on horseback or by bicycle.

You can admire the best sunsets at the Cabo de Cavalleria lighthouse, or Cova de'n Xoroi where, however, due to the high tourist demand it will be advisable to book days in advance.
